mAKE iNTERESTING wISHES

This is a wonderful quasi-scientific analysis of my least favorite quality in a baseball announcer: homer-ism. I truly hate "homers," even when they're in the booths of teams I like.

I don’t even mind if you have a mild affinity for your team. (I think the Cubs TV announcers Len Kasper and Bob Brenly do a great job of obviously supporting the Cubs without letting it affect their calling of the game.) But homerism on the level of Hawk Harrelson and the late Ron Santo and some others (even my beloved Orioles are pretty bad about this) is truly disgusting to me.
